“As One Girl To Another,” Kotex Sanitary Napkins, 1940.

Disposable products required women to rethink previous menstrual practices. As the developers, companies assumed the role of authority on how best to use disposable products.. To educate consumers, they distributed free pamphlets, like this one, with their menstrual products. Directed to teenagers, the tone invokes a sisterhood of women, discreetly passing on menstrual knowledge, including tips for how to use Kotex sanitary napkins with the sanitary belt.
