The Lammily video advertisement, intended to be humorous, shows parents embarrassing their daughter while trying to deliver “the talk.” The older sister enters and tells them to “just use the doll” instead. While the Lamminy Period Party product developed with the intent of eliminating stigma, but the marketing focuses instead on how embarrassing and difficult it is for parents and children to discuss a basic body function like menstruation.
